Oral Diagnostic And Minor Oral Surgery (OD/MOS) Clinic

Description

The department runs an outpatient diagnostic and minor oral surgery on a ground floor clinic with 8 dental units. All patients attending the dental hospital, with the exception of paediatric patients, are filtered through the Oral diagnostic and minor surgery clinic. The morning sessions are reserved for diagnosis of all attending and are used as for third year teaching session. In general, two to three members of staff man and carry out teaching in the diagnostic clinic.  The afternoon sessions are reserved for minor oral surgery under local anaesthesia and sedation. The sessions are used for fourth year and postgraduate teaching.  The session is managed by two attending consultants.
